ECRI is at the heart of the trial leadership, the supporting industry, the sites and its subcontractors. In order to accomplish its vision, ECRI brings together academic thought leaders to design and oversee innovative clinical trials funded by the medical industry. 

Also, ECRI as a non-profit organization, offers sponsor capabilities both to funding industry and investigators in the context of investigator-initated studies. These capabilities include contracting, subcontracting, patient insurance, quality assurance, risk management, project oversight, and budget control. All operational activites are outsourced to Cardialysis and partner research organizations.
