IVUS CHIP

 

The objective of IVUS CHIP is to assess the superiority of an intravascular ultrasound-guided approach versus an angiography-guided approach in patients with complex coronary lesions undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention. This randomized controlled, multicenter, international, post-marketing study aims to enroll a total of 2020 patients, in 7 European countries and approximately 40 hospitals.

The Principal Investigator is Dr. Roberto Diletti (Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, The Netherlands) and the Study Chair is Prof. Nicolas Van Mieghem (Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, The Netherlands).

The European Cardiovascular Research Institute (ECRI) is the Sponsor of the IVUS CHIP trial. ECRI is being supported by a scientific grant from Boston Scientific (Marlborough, Massachusetts, USA).
